The Sand Trap
The Sand Trap is a 125 psi rated tank that separates and settles out the sand, shale and oxidized organics in your water supplies. It works by running the water through an internal swirl chamber and then into a diverting plate. This forces the heavier particles to settle down to the bottom of the tank for easy removal by simply opening the valve.
Features of the system:
The “Micro” Sand Trap replaces your cartridge type inline filter. Its unique design lets you separate and drain away the sand, shale and oxidized material that's in your water without the hassle of turning off the water, unscrewing the filter chamber and putting in a new filter time after time. The unit swirls the water, then directs it into a diverting plate, all internally. The particles settle to the bottom where you get rid of them by simply opening the valve on the bottom. The “Micro Sand Trap” uses the same technology as it’s big brothers but is smaller and less expensive.
